What to Expect

You have made the compassionate decision to allow your pet to pass peacefully. At your scheduled appointment time, Dr. Hemsley will answer any questions or concerns you may have. If you are unsure if euthanasia is the right option for your pet, please see information on Hospice Care below. Your pet will receive a medication to relax him/her, which will allow for a peaceful passing. It is encouraged that you choose a place where your pet is comfortable and at ease.

Cremation Services

Dr. Hemsley will coordinate cremation services. This includes transportation of your pet to the crematorium. These prices are in addition to the Euthanasia Fee above. In order to provide you and your family privacy, Dr. Hemsley typically does not arrive with an assistant. Therefore, if your pet weighs more than 40 pounds, she may ask for assistance moving your pet. In the event additional assistance is needed moving your pet, outside your availability within the home, please let Dr. Hemsley know when you schedule your visit. Additional help can be coordinated, please see below for fees.
