Throughout this global pandemic, House Call Vet RVA has continued to provide an essential service for pets & pet parents requesting in-home veterinary care. In order to continue to do so, we have adopted the following policies and protocols.

  • As of 11/19/2020, ALL communication must be done through our WEBSITE. Please visit our commonly used forms page to fill out and submit the appropriate form.
  • If you are unsure of which form to choose, please visit our contact page to submit your request or question.
  • Appointment requests, questions, and all other communications will not be answered through email or phone calls.
  • However, requests submitted through the website will be answered in a timely manner. This is a CRITICAL and necessary change in order for us to continue to provide in-home veterinary care.

  • Please be advised that House Call Vet RVA, PLLC is an ambulatory facility. Neither the facility nor Dr. Kaitlyn Hemsley provides 24 hour service or monitoring. You have the option of transporting your pet to an emergency facility for care or if the doctor, Kaitlyn Hemsley DVM, feels that this is warranted, or you prefer continued care. Appointment times are offered, based on availability, between 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays. Euthanasia appointment times are offered, based on availability, between 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Appointment requests within the aforementioned timeframes are not guaranteed and subject to change. Services are provided through appointment only. Veterinary care is not guaranteed to be available outside a scheduled appointment time.
  • On holidays & from closing time on Friday until opening on Monday morning: Medical personnel and staff care are dedicated to scheduled appointments only. We have no on duty continuous medical personnel or staff available outside of previously scheduled appointments.
